Going to the Launch Pad
A part of the satellite’s electronic ground support equipment was carried today into the Undertable Room, a vault directly underneath the launch table. The electronic equipment is being installed in order to check the umbilical lines running up the service tower – and eventually it will be used to communicate with the spacecraft once it awaits launch on the pad.
The booster unit, which comprises the first two stages of the launch vehicle, is on its way to the launch pad. The booster unit is moved around in its Transportation and Launch Container inside which it will be erected into a vertical position inside the service tower.
