Russian Military Satellite placed in Wrong Orbit by Rockot
The Russian military GEO-IK2 satellite launched on February 1, 2011 on a Rockot/Breeze-KM launch vehicle from Plesetsk Cosmodrome was placed in a wrong orbit. Russian ground stations are in contact with the spacecraft.
A Review Board has been established and investigations continue. Updates will be published on this website as soon as they are available.
