Rockot with Rolled-Back Service Tower View Inside of the Launch Tower Launch Pad Area Next to its integration facilities, Eurockot has its own dedicated launch pad for the Rockot programme. A former Cosmos launch vehicle pad, the pad LC133, was fully refurbished and upgraded to international standard with the help of an investment by EADS. The launch pad area comprises the launch pad, the mobile service tower, stationary mast, undertable room and bunker. The launch pad area is linked to the MIK processing facility by fibre optic cable, so that customers can remotely command equipment during the launch. Customer equipment that needs to be close to the launcher can be placed in the undertable room. The launch pad area is also linked by a high speed data link via RF transmission directly to the remote mission control centre some 30 km away.
