CDF in 2000
Eurockot Attains Operational Readiness The
Commercial Demonstration Flight (CDF) from Plesetsk Cosmodrome in May
2000 marked Eurockot's and the Rockot-KM launch vehicle's operational
debut. The mission simulated a typical LEO mission lofting two
identical satellite simulators (SIMSAT-1 and 2) into a near polar orbit. Mission Characteristics  Mission Goals Accomplished The Commercial Demonstration Flight demonstrated the following: - The operational readiness of the dedicated and new Rockot launch and support facilities at Plesetsk.
- The
operational readiness of the commercial Rockot-KM launch vehicle
including the Breeze-KM upper stage and new 2-piece payload fairing.
Upon
successful completion of this mission, the Rockot-KM launch system was
declared ready for commercial operations from Plesetsk.
