Integration of CDF Satellites CDF Launch from Plesetsk CDF in 2000 Eurockot Attains Operational Readiness The Commercial Demonstration Flight (CDF) from Plesetsk Cosmodrome in May 2000 marked Eurockot's and the Rockot-KM launch vehicle's operational debut. The mission simulated a typical LEO mission lofting two identical satellite simulators (SIMSAT-1 and 2) into a near polar orbit. Mission Characteristics Mission Goals Accomplished The Commercial Demonstration Flight demonstrated the following: The operational readiness of the dedicated and new Rockot launch and support facilities at Plesetsk. The operational readiness of the commercial Rockot-KM launch vehicle including the Breeze-KM upper stage and new 2-piece payload fairing. Upon successful completion of this mission, the Rockot-KM launch system was declared ready for commercial operations from Plesetsk.
