Payload Performance
Rockot is launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome. Due to its northerly latitude at 63° North, Plesetsk permits launches to highly inclined, polar and SSO orbits. The accompanying chart shows the performance of the Rockot launch vehicle into circular orbits using standard ascent trajectories. Rockot is able to provide a wide variety of inclinations due to the capability of the vehicle to perform dogleg and plane change manoeuvres. Although not shown here, elliptical orbits can also be served with Rockot, with performance curves given in the current edition of the Rockot User Guide. It should be noted that the performance curves shown here are generic. Furthermore, incremental improvements to the Rockot launch system have been undertaken as a consequence of the extensive experience gained in operating this system. Hence, the performances shown here are generally conservative. It is therefore advised that customers requiring more performance than shown here should contact Eurockot directly, where a dedicated mission analysis can be undertaken to provide more specific figures.
